

Marronata is a traditional Italian dessert made from chestnuts, sugar, rum and vanilla. This dessert is particularly popular during the autumn and winter months, when chestnuts are in season.

Pass the chestnuts through a sieve and add to the resulting purée a syrup made with the sugar and 300 g of water
Cook for about 30 minutes and add the vanilla and rum
Cook for another 10 minutes and put into jars
