
Peaches with Rice
Peaches with rice is a traditional Italian dessert, typical of the Lombardy region. It is a simple yet delicate preparation, where peaches are stuffed with sweet rice and irresistible aromas of amaretti cookies and lemon. - Rice
150G150G - Yellow peaches
44 - Amaretti cookies
50G50G - Milk
75Cl75Cl - Sugar
100G100G - Eggs
22 - Butter
20G20G - Marsala wine

Preparation

Boil the rice in milk to which you have added a pinch of salt and the grated lemon zest
- STEP 2 OF 5
When cooked, remove from heat and add the crumbled amaretti cookies, 50 g of sugar, egg yolks, butter, and finally the egg whites beaten to stiff peaks
- STEP 3 OF 5
Cut the peaches in half, remove the pit, scoop out the pulp (which you will add to the rice) and fill the hollow with the mixture
- STEP 4 OF 5
Place them in a buttered baking dish, sprinkle with sugar, pour the Marsala, and bake for about 20 minutes

You can serve them either hot or cold
