Plum jam is a delicious sweet preserve made with ripe plums and sugar. This jam is perfect for spreading on toasted bread, biscuits, or for filling cakes and tarts.
Wash and pit the plums, place them in a steel pot with a glass of water and cook for 15 minutes
Then strain them, add the sugar, and return to the heat until it thickens
Place the jam in jars and preserve it
Note: use healthy fruit that is at the right stage of ripeness, avoiding washing it too many times in water and instead rubbing it with a clean cloth; for cooking, prefer tall-bottomed steel pots as this process is slow and very long; for glass containers, maximum care and cleanliness are required, and they must be hermetically sealed; finally, if the jam molds on the surface, remove that part, clean the jar, and cover it with 90-degree alcohol
