Take a baking pan and cover the bottom with potatoes cut into slices less than 1 cm thick
Cover the potatoes with slices of white onion
Sprinkle everything with a mix of breadcrumbs and grated Pecorino cheese, adjusting with salt without being excessive
Cover everything with red tomatoes cut in half with the skin facing up
Season with ample oil
Pour into the pan enough water to cover the layer of potatoes but not the onions
Place in a hot oven: when the water has evaporated, the dish will be ready
