The Quick English Trifle is a typical Italian dessert made with dry biscuits, liquor, mixed fruit, walnuts, cream, egg yolk, and chocolate or cocoa. It is a very simple and quick dessert to prepare, perfect to serve during parties or to surprise guests.
Lay a layer of biscuits on the bottom of a glass container, preferably square or rectangular in shape
Pour some liquor over the biscuits, then chop the fruit and add some walnut kernels or leftover nuts
Arrange a second layer of biscuits, soak them with a bit of fresh cream or milk in which you have mixed an egg yolk, let the biscuits absorb well, and then finish the dessert by sprinkling sweet cocoa or chocolate shavings on top as desired
Keep in the fridge for two hours and serve
