Sambal sauce is a spicy and flavorful sauce originating from Asian cuisine. Made with ingredients like onions, garlic, chili, ginger, and turmeric, it is perfect to use as a condiment for side dishes and main courses.
The quantities are for 25 cl of sauce
Melt the butter in a pan, add the onions, garlic, chili powder, turmeric, ginger, and cumin
Cook for about 10 minutes over moderate heat, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon
Divide the mixture into 2 bowls, adding cucumbers to one and tomatoes to the other
Mix and let rest for an hour before serving
The amount of spices can be reduced, but remember that this Indian sauce should be very spicy
