Scottish biscuits are delicious sweets of Scottish origin, crunchy and fragrant. Made with flour, melted butter, milk, granulated sugar, brewer's yeast, and a pinch of salt, they are perfect to enjoy at any time of the day.
Sift the flour with the sugar and a pinch of salt and arrange in a mound
Warm the milk, dissolve the yeast in it, and slowly pour it into the center on the work surface, gradually incorporating the melted butter as well
Knead everything vigorously until you obtain a smooth and soft dough
Let the dough rise for an hour, covered, in a warm place
After this hour, roll out the dough into a sheet half a centimeter thick and cut it into oval-shaped biscuits
Flour a baking tray, align the biscuits well spaced apart, and bake for about half an hour
