Tuna boats are a delicious appetizer perfect for an aperitif or a light dinner. These tasty boats are made with a crumbly pastry enriched with tuna in oil, Parmesan cheese, and cream. They are easy to prepare and delightful to enjoy.
Following the instructions from the 'Salmon Boats' recipe (see Recipe), prepare the boats with flour, butter, an egg yolk, and a pinch of salt, and bake them in the appropriate molds
Meanwhile, hard boil two eggs in boiling water for 10 minutes
Drain them, let them cool under running water, peel them, separate the whites from the yolks, and finely chop both
Place the tuna in a bowl and mash it with a fork
Grate the Parmesan, add it to the tuna, and mix everything thoroughly
Dilute the mixture with cream and pass it through a fine sieve, collecting it in a bowl
Keep it in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes
Put the mixture in a pastry bag with a smooth nozzle and distribute it in the boats, decorating them with alternating strips of chopped egg white and yolk
Arrange the boats on a serving platter and serve
