Houblon Chouffe is the first Belgian IPA, produced by the Achouffe brewery, located in the Belgian Ardennes. It is a top-fermented beer, very drinkable and balanced. Ingredients Water, barley malt, inverted sugar, hops, yeast. Appearance Houblon Chouffe has a light blonde color, characterized by a slight cloudiness. It has a white, fine, and creamy foam. Aroma On the nose, Houblon Chouffe presents an intense and complex aroma, with notes of Amarillo hops, citrus like grapefruit, tropical fruit, and honey. Taste In the mouth, Houblon Chouffe has a medium body, with a bitter and fruity taste. The hop notes are well balanced by the fruity notes, giving the beer a unique character. The finish is dry and persistent. Serving Temperature Houblon Chouffe should be served at 6°C. Pairings It is a versatile beer, which can be enjoyed alone or with company. It pairs well with shellfish soups, dishes based on chicory, fried foods, and blue cheeses.
