"Roku" in Japanese signifies the number six, representing the six botanicals from the Land of the Rising Sun used in this gin, along with eight more traditional ones. Among the first six, we find two types of green tea and Sakura flowers, which distinctly characterize this spirit. Each botanical is harvested according to the Japanese method of "shun": that is, the collection of each ingredient only when it reaches its best flavor. A multi-distillation process enhances the best of each botanical: cherry blossoms and green tea provide a floral and sweet aroma, while on the palate it has a complex, multi-layered taste for a harmonious flavor.
