Bausa Red Wine The Bausa Red Wine from Cantine Fina is an intense and complex red, offering a deep and Mediterranean version of this great Sicilian grape. The long aging in tonneau allows the Nero d’Avola to undergo a rich aromatic evolution, presenting notes of ripe red fruit, sensations of soft oriental spices, hints of cocoa and tobacco. Packaging: 6 Bottles of 0.75 lt. The Bausa Red Wine “Bausa” is the district where our winery is located. It is the heart of the company as is the Nero d’Avola, with which it is produced, and it is the cornerstone of our production and Sicilian wine culture. In this wine, there is all our passion for the work we do and our land. The Bausa Red Wine is a full-bodied and rich red wine made from Nero d'Avola grapes cultivated in the Trapani area. Warm, powerful, and Mediterranean, like its Sicily, it is an expression of great character and structure that, after an aging of as long as 18 months in tonneau, unfolds intense aromas of sweet spices, such as nutmeg and cloves, tobacco, ripe red fruit, and marine breezes. The Bausa Red Wine is one of the flagship reds of Cantine Fina, a beautiful reality that operates in the splendid area of the coastline between Trapani and Marsala. Founded in 2005 out of the desire to enhance a territory of ancient traditions, Cantine Fina immediately focused on quality wines, made both with the main native grape varieties of the territory and with famous international varieties particularly suited to the Mediterranean and windy climate of this corner of Sicily. The vineyards are managed under organic farming principles, in harmony with the surrounding nature. The wines have quickly carved out an important space in the Sicilian landscape for their excellent level and for their fidelity to the characteristics of the terroir. They are labels that manage to convey in the glass the authentic flavors of Sicily, the warmth of the sun, and the iodized and savory sensations of the sea. The Nero d’Avola of the Bausa Red Wine is the expression of a particular native vine from Sicily. It has been of fundamental importance for centuries in the production of many Sicilian wines, prevailing, however, in its use as a blending wine. It is only since the 1970s that serious experimentation on this grape variety has finally begun, aimed at studying and enhancing it. This wine is now defined as the prince of Sicilian grape varieties. Vineyard Bausa: Type: Red. Grapes: 100% Nero d’Avola. Production area: Western Sicily.
