Carpano Dry is the latest creation from Carpano, a young and innovative product, with a drier taste and a lower sugar content compared to the rest of the range. The starting base is that of Carpano's classic recipe, enriched by the experience of the Fratelli Branca during the selection of raw materials and by the collaboration of Luca Gardini, an award-winning sommelier and world champion, for the selection of fine Italian wines. Among the botanicals used, the wormwood comes from Italy, but the trump card that characterizes the taste of this vermouth is the Cretan dittany, a plant from the island of Crete, which gives the typical savory note so coveted by bartenders. Elements of quality, tradition, and innovation, for the new excellence of quality Italian vermouth. Transparent and bright, on the nose it stands out for a blend of multiple aromas, from candied cedar peel to lime, lemon essential oil, and incense, with hints of coriander and white pepper. The taste expresses the wine-like, and typical, side of the vermouth, in a citrus freshness supported by the true protagonist of the tasting, the balsamic note, very intense and enveloping, persistent and long in its mentholated and fruity references of green apple.
