Carpano Dry is the latest creation from Carpano, a young and innovative product with a drier taste and lower sugar content compared to the rest of the range. The starting point is the classic Carpano recipe, enriched by the experience of the Fratelli Branca in selecting raw materials and the collaboration of Luca Gardini, a multi-award-winning Sommelier and world champion, for the choice of fine Italian wines. Among the botanicals used, the wormwood comes from Italy, but the ace up the sleeve that characterizes the taste of this vermouth is the Cretan dittany, a plant from the island of Crete, which gives the typical savory note so coveted by bartenders. Elements of quality, tradition, and innovation, for the new excellence of quality Italian vermouth. Transparent and bright, on the nose it stands out for a combination of multiple aromas, from candied citron peel to lime, lemon essential oil, and incense, with hints of coriander and white pepper. The taste expresses the vinous and typical side of vermouth, in a citrus freshness supported by the true protagonist of the tasting, the balsamic note, very intense and enveloping, persistent and long in the mentholated and fruity echoes of green apple.
