The Castello della Sala is located in Umbria, not far from the border with Tuscany, about 18 kilometers from the historic city of Orvieto. The lands of the Castello, an imposing medieval manor, extend over 600 hectares, of which 200 hectares are planted with vineyards, at an altitude of 220 - 470 meters above sea level, among the gentle hills that characterize the beautiful countryside of these areas. The soil is predominantly clayey, calcareous, rich in fossil shells, with vineyards well exposed to the sunrise and with excellent temperature variations: that of the Castello della Sala is a highly suitable area for the production of whites.
