The aging takes place in French oak tonneaux where malolactic fermentation is completed for about 18 months. Then in bottle for a few months. The color is impenetrable ruby red with flaming reflections. On the nose, it is intense with hints of berries with interesting floral and spicy notes. On the palate, it has a flavor of black berry fruit with great persistence and a spicy finish. Recommended pairing with meat-based first courses or risottos, red meats, roasts, grilled dishes, braises, and well-aged cheeses. Recommended temperature: 16-18° C.
