Denomination: Terre Siciliane IGP Rosé Grape variety: Nerello Mascalese, Sangiovese Name: Il 4 Luglio Alcohol: 13° Format: 0.75L Production area: Slopes of Monte Jato, Monreale (PA), Sicily, Italy Description: Hand harvesting of the grapes, fermentation is done in white, separating the skins from the must to enhance the varietal characteristics. Produced using the Martinotti method, it is placed in stainless steel autoclaves and sparkling wine is made with selected yeasts for about 5/6 months at a controlled temperature of 18° C. It is then cooled to -4° C for about 8/10 days for stabilization, then filtered and bottled. The aging is completed for about 3/4 months in the bottle. The color is peach blossom pink with bright peony reflections. The effervescence is good with lively and consistent foam, numerous fine and persistent bubbles. On the nose, fruity and floral notes are perceived, with hints of peach, vanilla and exotic fruit, raspberry, pomegranate, and wild strawberries, along with whiffs of dog rose. On the palate, it is fresh and balanced between softness and acidity, with a long finish on the palate, intense and persistent, with the same hints perceived on the nose. Recommended pairing with cold cuts and cheeses as an appetizer, to try in combination with pizza or cheeseburger, stuffed gratin vegetables, octopus and potatoes, pasta and beans. Ideal choice when a white wine is too weak and a red risks overpowering the dishes. All Sicilian territoriality in a glass of wine. Serving temperature: 10-12° C Discover the producer.
