
Denomination: Sicilia DOC Grillo Grape: 100% Grillo Name: Sant'Anselmo Grillo Alcohol: 13° Format: 0.75L Production area: Slopes of Monte Jato, Monreale (PA), Sicily, Italy Description: Manual harvesting of the grapes, the winemaking takes place using traditional methods, with a light contact of the skins with the must at cold temperatures, followed by the alcoholic fermentation phase in stainless steel containers and ending with aging in bottles for 3/4 months. The color is straw yellow with crystalline golden reflections. On the nose, fruity, floral, herbaceous notes, citrus and yellow and tropical flesh fruits are perceived, grapefruit, melon and hints of pear, finally broom, orange blossom and hints of almond. On the palate, we find the same sensations perceived on the nose, along with delicate citrus and mineral notes, resulting fresh, savory, intense and persistent. Recommended pairing with dishes based on raw fish, risottos, medium-aged cheeses, spaghetti with clams, a carbonara, baked fish or white meats. Excellent also as an aperitif.
