Denomination: Sicilia DOC Nero d'Avola Grape variety: 100% Nero d'Avola Name: Sant'Anselmo Nero d'Avola Alcohol: 13.5° Format: 0.75L Production area: Slopes of Monte Jato, Monreale (PA), Sicily, Italy Manual grape harvesting, vinification takes place with traditional method, alcoholic fermentation is carried out at controlled temperature. Maturation is done first in stainless steel containers for about 5/6 months, followed by aging in barrique for another 3 months. The refinement is then done in the bottle for about 5/6 months. The color is ruby red with clear carmine reflections. On the nose, fruity, floral, vegetal and spicy notes are perceived, with hints of cherries and wild berries, withered violet flowers, pine and balsamic scents, notes of licorice, pine and rhubarb. On the palate it is dry, warm, moderately fresh and tannic, balanced, intense, persistent and harmonious, with the same scents perceived on the nose. A wine capable of demonstrating all the strength, character and territoriality of the island. Recommended pairing with grilled meats, sliced cuts, herb-roasted lamb, game and aged cheeses. Serving temperature: 16-18° C
