Second Skin is the first hoppy beer from Shire, inspired by the West Coast IPA, which is now somewhat old school: bitter, clear, smooth, dry, and resinous. Made with Pils malt and Cara, US yeast, and inevitably a lot of Simcoe, Cascade, and finally Citra, with a touch of modernity having also used Cryo Hops.
