Terre del Volturno Rosso IGP Barricato is a wine made from a selection of the best company grapes, Pallagrello Nero and Casavecchia, grown on the estate owned by Costanzo Agricola in Ruviano (CE), on clayey-sandy hills that are part of the Irpinian units. After a tumultuous fermentation with the skins lasting 12-15 days, the newly obtained wine completes the malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, and is then placed in French oak barriques, where it matures for 15-16 months. After bottling and before marketing, this wine undergoes an additional aging in bottle of at least 12 months. Ruby red, crystal clear and with a dense texture. On the nose, intense aromas of well-ripened red fruit, black mulberry, berries, vanilla, cocoa, and spices are perceived. On the palate, it is nicely tannic, but well balanced, sapid, very persistent, and with excellent taste-aroma correspondence. It is recommended to pair with grilled red meats, game, and aged hard cheeses. Vintage 2022, 13% Vol – 750ml.
