An extraordinarily warm and dry winter and spring was followed by intense frosts between April 17 and 29, which generated a negative record of 12 frosty nights. Subsequently, a humid and cool summer gave way to an almost tropical late August, characterized by heat and humidity, promoting the spread of gray mold on the ripening Pinot Noir and Meunier vines. This scenario required an accelerated harvest, extremely rapid, accompanied by careful, precise, and methodical selection, unprecedented for our Maison. The harvest took place between August 31 and September 9, 2017.
