Every Salame Toscano is born from the connection with the Tuscan lands and the ancient family recipes passed down through generations at the company. Our Tuscan salami is quite sweet, balanced, with intense aromas that can be perceived even before tasting it. It is one of our flagship products; the careful selection of high-quality raw materials helps us create an inimitable Tuscan salami. This Tuscan salami is handcrafted using gluten-free raw materials. It is made exclusively with Italian pork meat and diced back fat, ground with special spices according to a Tuscan tradition and stuffed into natural casings and tied. Each slice shows an intense red color with sporadic cubes of fat. It is characterized by a pleasantly aromatic scent and is ideal to enjoy with a good glass of red wine. The history of this Tuscan salami is truly ancient; the first writings about Tuscan salami are found in the Natural History by Pliny the Elder, who praises the cured meats produced in this splendid region. The Tuscan salami comes in a natural casing, hand-tied, with the classic bean shape. The finely grained slice is decorated with diced cubes of fat; the meat is a beautiful intense red with peppercorns dotting the slice. The aroma is inviting, and upon tasting, a harmony of aged meats, sweet and flavorful, emerges with delicate notes of pepper and garlic for a taste of great character. Tuscan salami is particularly widespread in central Italy: it is characterized by a savory taste, rich in aromaticity, and by the fat it contains, which is coarsely chopped. Among the spices, it is distinguished by the extensive use of whole black peppercorns. When prepared in a small form, it is called cacciatorino.
