The toasted Piedmont Hazelnut IGP granules from Cascina Fontane are an ingredient of absolute excellence for your pastry creations and beyond. Cascina Fontane performs the hazelnut roasting using the patented method called "Vertiflow." A jet of hot air allows the product to be suspended, rotating on itself: this ensures uniform cooking of the hazelnuts. Additionally, these are completely dehumidified, resulting in perfectly cooked interiors for a decidedly more fragrant taste. This process does not affect the flavor of the product and thoroughly cleans the fruits, preserving the oily component in the final phase, the sorting. The hazelnuts are manually selected one by one to remove defective ones and ensure perfection.
