The Red Tea (Black) Vanilla Rose is a refined medium intensity blend, obtained from the precious golden buds of Yunnan, China. This black tea is enriched with authentic vanilla pod from Madagascar and scented with Damask rose petals, creating an elegant and enveloping aromatic combination. The combination of these natural ingredients gives the beverage a velvety, floral, and slightly creamy profile, perfectly balanced and free of astringent notes. Origin and Tradition Yunnan is one of the most famous regions for tea production in China, with a tradition that dates back over 2,000 years. Its mountains rich in biodiversity provide ideal conditions for tea cultivation, thanks to a humid climate and fertile soils. The leaves used for the Vanilla Rose Black Tea come from the Yunnan Large Leaf variety, the same used for producing the finest pu-erh teas in the region. After manual harvesting, the leaves undergo a careful processing procedure that includes withering, rolling, fermentation, and drying. Afterwards, they are blended with vanilla pods from Madagascar and delicate Damask rose petals, which confer to the tea its characteristic floral aroma and creamy, enveloping taste. Aroma and Taste The infusion presents a clear and bright golden red color. The aroma is intense and enveloping, with dominant notes of vanilla and rose. On the palate, the Vanilla Rose Black Tea offers a soft and velvety sensation, with a perfect balance between the sweet notes of vanilla and the floral notes of rose petals. A slight savory hint completes the experience, giving the tea a unique and refined depth. Place of Origin Yunnan, China. Brewing Method We strongly recommend infusing this tea in the traditional Chinese method (Gong Fu Cha) with a Gaiwan that holds about 100 ml. Following this preparation, with 5 grams of leaves, multiple infusions can be made to fully appreciate all the flavors of the tea. After a quick rinse of the leaves with water at a temperature of 95°C, a first infusion of 10 seconds can be done, and subsequently, maintaining the water at the same temperature, additional water can be added while increasing the previous infusion time by about 5 seconds (15 – 20 – 25...). For a more traditional preparation in the Western style, we recommend 3 grams of leaves (about 2 teaspoons) in a 150 ml cup with water at 95°C for an infusion time of a minute and a half. For a better tasting experience, we suggest filtering the infusion immediately after the established soaking time is finished. The infusion times we suggest can, however, be slightly adjusted to one's preference to achieve a more or less intense flavor. It is advised to store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Benefits of Red Tea (black) The category of red teas has the least impact on our body due to the stability reached by the product thanks to its complete oxidation. For this reason, red tea is one of the most recommended for those who always want a calorie-free hot beverage available. Although in small amounts, the leaves of this category also provide polyphenols and minerals beneficial to the body without delivering too much caffeine, thus promoting a pleasant relaxing effect.
