This is a recipe from Salerno, called Mallone. Great for warming up during the winter season.
Slice the onion into julienne strips and place in the saucepan, add the spicy chili pepper and sauté.
When the onion begins to brown, add the potatoes, cover with water and cook for 20 minutes.
Fill the pot with water and bring to a boil, add a pinch of salt and the broccoli. Cook for about 15 minutes.
Drain the broccoli and add to the potatoes, cook until the potatoes begin to break apart.
Salt to taste. Before serving, add the butter and grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
