    Preparation

    1. STEP 1 OF 6

      Unroll the puff pastry and cut it with a pastry wheel, first making two central cuts to form a cross. Then divide each section in two, and again divide each section in two, obtaining 16 pieces.

    2. STEP 2 OF 6

      Roll each section starting from the outside towards the center.

    3. STEP 3 OF 6

      Using the same parchment paper from the puff pastry, lift and transfer the croissants onto a baking tray.

    4. STEP 4 OF 6

      Brush them with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

    5. STEP 5 OF 6

      Bake in a preheated fan oven at 200 degrees for 10 minutes (or until they are golden on the surface).

    6. STEP 6 OF 6

      Let the croissants cool, cut them in half, and fill them with cold cuts, cheeses, and salad as you like.

    The puff pastry croissants with filling are excellent served with white wine or prosecco. You can store the croissants in the refrigerator for up to two days, but they are best when freshly made.
