Artichokes in a pan: a simple and delicious side dish, sautéed in a pan with oil, garlic, and parsley.
Clean the artichokes, leaving the heart, the most tender part, intact and place them in acidulated water with lemon juice to prevent them from turning black.
Take a large pan and pour in a drizzle of olive oil. Add 2 garlic cloves and a piece of chili pepper.
When the garlic begins to sizzle, add the artichokes and stir.
Salt and add a chopped mix of herbs (parsley, thyme, marjoram). When the artichokes dry out too much, add half a ladle of boiling water, cover, and let cook for 5 minutes.
Serve hot with toasted bread.
Serve immediately
Great as a side dish and also perfect for filling savory pies or omelets.
