Cheese sfogliatelle are a delicious crunchy and creamy appetizer. Originating from the Campania region, these sfogliatelle are famous for their filling of melted Fontina cheese and the crispness of the puff pastry. Perfect to serve hot as an appetizer or to enjoy during an aperitif.

Prepare a mixture with pieces of Fontina, a little milk, beaten egg yolk, salt and pepper; mix until you obtain a thick, homogeneous filling.
Place a sheet of puff pastry in a baking tray and put the mixture you just prepared on top, then cover with another sheet of puff pastry.
Bake until the pastry is cooked.
