Soak the beans overnight in a container with plenty of water and a bay leaf
Use the same procedure with the pieces of pork
Then boil them for half an hour to soften them and remove some fat
Once drained, place them in a high-sided pot together with the beans and the sausage cut into pieces
Cover with salted water and cook for two hours over low heat
In a pan, sauté oil, garlic, onion and bacon, adding some of the bean broth and chopped parsley, then pour everything into the stew, stirring and letting it simmer over low heat until the feijoada is thick and the meats are well cooked
Serve in earthenware bowls accompanied by a raw sauce prepared with finely chopped onion, parsley, garlic and tomato, oil, lemon juice and crushed chili pepper
