
Gratinated cardoons are a simple and tasty side dish, typical of Italian cuisine. The cardoons are boiled and then gratin in the oven with a delicious béchamel sauce and grated Grana cheese. The dish is perfect to serve alongside roasts or meat dishes.


Carefully clean the cardoons, wash them and cook them in salted water
Once cooked, cut the cardoons into pieces about 5/6 cm long
Place them in a buttered baking dish, cover with béchamel sauce, sprinkle with grated Grana cheese, and gratin in the oven at 180 degrees until golden brown
