Pomodori gratinati are a delicious, flavorful side dish. The tomatoes are halved and filled with a crunchy mix of breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, garlic, oregano and chives. Finally they are gratinated in the oven until the surface becomes golden and crispy. A great option to accompany meat or fish.
Cut the tomatoes in half, remove the seeds, salt them and let them drain upside down for 30 minutes
Mix the breadcrumbs with the chopped herbs, chopped garlic, a pinch of salt, pepper and oil
The mixture should be thick
Fill the tomatoes with the mixture, moisten them with a drizzle of oil and arrange them in a greased baking dish
