Maremma steaks are a typical dish of Tuscan cuisine, particularly from the Maremma area. They consist of soy patties enriched with eggs, mozzarella, and breadcrumbs, which are then fried or baked. The origin of this recipe dates back to the time of the large farms in Maremma, where soy was used as a meat substitute. Today, Maremma steaks have become a delicious vegetarian or vegan alternative to classic meat steaks.
