The hard-boiled egg meatloaf is a tasty dish typical of Italian cuisine. It consists of a mixture of pork and beef, bread crumbs, shallots, milk, and fresh eggs. Inside the meatloaf are placed hard-boiled eggs, which make the dish even more appetizing. It is finally baked and served with a delicious buttered pea sauce. This meatloaf is perfect for a hearty lunch or dinner.

Grind the two types of meat and place them in a large bowl, add the bread soaked in milk, well squeezed and crumbled, the fresh eggs and the finely chopped shallot
Mix the ingredients together and sprinkle the mixture with the necessary salt and a generous grind of pepper
Incorporate the added ingredients and continue to mix until you have a homogeneous mixture
Transfer it to a damp work surface and roughly shape it, forming a central hollow; inside this, place four peeled hard-boiled eggs in a row and cover them with the mixture itself to form a regular cylindrical meatloaf
Place it in a well-buttered baking dish and put it in the already hot oven (180 degrees) for about 45 minutes, being careful to turn it gently from time to time so that it colors evenly on all sides
At the end, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes; then transfer it to a serving plate and serve it in thin slices with a side of buttered peas or other vegetables of your choice
