
Pork shank with vegetables is a delicious autumn dish typical of Italian cuisine. The pork shank is slowly cooked in the oven together with the vegetables, which are flavored with the juices of the meat. In a large pot place the shanks, cover them with cold water, bring to a boil and then simmer covered for about an hour and a half
When almost cooked, add salt and pepper, add the carrots sliced into thick rounds, the onions into thin slices, and the potatoes cut into four wedges
Cook for another 15 minutes
Add the cabbage cut into strips and keep on the heat until all the vegetables are cooked but still al dente
Serve this dish hot
