Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices, peel the onions and slice them into rings.
Grease a baking dish, make a first layer of salted and peppered potatoes, add a bit of chopped rosemary and a drizzle of oil.
Make a second layer of salted and peppered onions, add the rosemary and a bit of oil.
Continue layering until the ingredients are used up, finishing with the potatoes.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for an hour.
Remove the aluminum foil and continue cooking for another 20 minutes to brown the potatoes.
