Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices; peel the onions and slice them into rings
Butter a baking dish, make a first layer of potatoes, season with salt and pepper, add a little chopped rosemary and a drizzle of olive oil
Make a second layer of onions, season with salt and pepper, add the rosemary and a little oil
Continue layering in this way until all the ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of potatoes
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the oven for one hour
Remove the aluminum foil and continue baking for another 20 minutes to brown the potatoes
