Sautéed Chicken with Tomato is a tasty and traditional dish of Italian cuisine. It is a main course made with chicken sautéed in a pan with tomato, onion, champignon mushrooms, and spicy sausage. Perfect to enjoy in any season, this dish is simple to prepare and rich in Mediterranean flavors.
The chicken should already be cut into 5 pieces
Salt and pepper the chicken pieces
Cut the sausage into 5 cm pieces
Clean and wash the mushrooms, dry them and slice them
Peel and chop the garlic and onion
Heat two tablespoons of oil in a large pan
Add 15 g of butter and sauté the garlic and onion for seven minutes, stirring regularly with a wooden spoon until they become transparent
Remove them with a slotted spoon and set them aside
Put the mushrooms in their place and sauté them for three minutes until they are golden
Then remove them from the pan using the slotted spoon
Heat the remaining oil in the same pan
Add the rest of the butter and brown the chicken pieces for three minutes on each side
Remove them from the pan and keep them warm
Remove the fat from the pan, pour in the tomatoes with their juice and the tomato sauce, and let it simmer
Add the reserved garlic and onion, the mushrooms, the chicken, the sausage, and the red wine
Salt, pepper, cover, and let simmer for an hour over low heat until the chicken and sausage are cooked
Place the chicken and sausage on a warm serving dish and pour the tomato and mushroom sauce over them
Serve immediately
