Sicilian stuffed tomatoes are a delicious appetizer typical of Sicilian cuisine. The combination of ripe tomatoes, toasted breadcrumbs, anchovies, parsley, garlic, capers, and oregano creates a dish full of Mediterranean flavors.
Remove the tops of the tomatoes, empty them and let them drain upside down
Sauté the sliced onion with the chopped parsley, garlic, and anchovies cut into pieces
After removing from the heat, add the toasted breadcrumbs, capers, oregano, salt, and pepper
Fill the tomatoes with the mixture and place them in an oiled baking dish and bake for about fifteen minutes at a moderate temperature
