Marinated and grilled seitan fillets served with a creamy sesame and soy sauce, completed with fresh basil and Lemon Pearls for surprising freshness and contrast!
Marinate the seitan: slice the seitan into thick pieces, season it with soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger and black pepper. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Prepare the sauce: in a bowl, mix tahini, plant-based milk, lemon juice, a little salt and garlic (if desired). Emulsify until you achieve a smooth sauce.
Grill the seitan: heat a grill or non-stick pan well, cook the seitan for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Plate it: pour the creamy sauce at the bottom of the plate, place the grilled seitan on top, sprinkle with torn fresh basil and toasted sesame seeds.
Finish with Lemon Pearls for a note of freshness.
In the refrigerator, in an airtight container, for a maximum of 2 days.
Marinating the seitan is optional but recommended for a more intense flavor.
