Folar cake is a typical Portuguese sweet prepared during the Easter holidays. It has a soft texture and a delicate flavor, enriched by eggs and cold cuts. Perfect to enjoy for breakfast or a snack.
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. In a bowl, mix the flour with the yeast and salt. Add the oil and warm water, then knead until you get a soft and homogeneous dough.
3. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and place it on a baking tray.
4. Arrange the slices of salami and ham on the surface of the dough, pressing lightly.
5. Cover with another layer of dough and seal the edges.
6. Brush the surface with a beaten egg yolk.
7. Bake and cook for about 1 hour, until golden brown.
