Crispy, compact tofu glazed with Yakisoba sauce (Otafuku). A simple and quick recipe, cooked in the air fryer to achieve a golden surface and caramelized glaze.
Pat the tofu dry with paper towels to remove excess liquid and cut it into cubes.
In a bowl, season the tofu cubes with sesame oil and cornstarch, mixing well to coat them evenly.
Place the tofu pieces in the air fryer basket, avoiding overlaps.
Cook at 200°C for 12-15 minutes, shaking or turning halfway through cooking, until golden and crispy.
Transfer the golden tofu to a bowl, add the Yakisoba sauce, and mix well to coat the cubes.
Return the glazed tofu to the air fryer for another 5 minutes at 180°C to caramelize the glaze; upon completion, sprinkle with sesame seeds and add chopped green onions to taste.
