Denomination: Etna Rosso DOC Grape Variety: Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio Name: Etna Rosso Alcohol: 14° Volume: 0.75L Production Area: Slopes of Mount Jato, Monreale (PA), Sicily, Italy Description: Manual harvesting of the grapes, vinification takes place using traditional methods, alcoholic fermentation with the skins is done for a few days at 25-26 °C. Maturation is carried out with an initial passage in stainless steel containers for about 5/6 months, followed by a passage in barriques for another 9 months. Aging is then done in the bottle for about 5/6 months. The color is ruby red with clear and lively reflections. On the nose, it is floral, fruity, and vegetal, with notes of berries, hints of strawberry, raspberry, and plum. On the palate, it is dry, warm, moderately fresh and tannic, balanced, intense, and persistent, with the same aromas perceived on the nose. Recommended pairing with traditional Sicilian-Italian cuisine, grilled meats, sliced meats, oven-baked lamb with herbs, game, and aged cheeses. Serving temperature: 16-18° C
