
Designation: Terre Siciliane IGP Merlot Grape variety: 100% Merlot Name: Sant'Anselmo Merlot Alcohol: 13.5° Format: 0.75L Production area: Slopes of Monte Jato, Monreale (PA), Sicily, Italy Description: Manual harvest of the grapes, winemaking takes place using traditional methods, alcoholic fermentation with the skins occurs for several days at 25-26 °C. Maturation is carried out first in stainless steel containers for about 5/6 months, followed by aging in barriques for another 3 months. Refinement is then done in bottles for about 5/6 months. The color is ruby red with bright amaranth reflections. On the nose, fruity, floral, herbal and spicy notes are perceived, with hints of wild berries, tamarind, black pepper, cloves, leather, coffee and licorice. On the palate it is dry, warm, soft, moderately fresh and moderately tannic, balanced, intense, persistent and harmonious, we find the same hints perceived on the nose. Recommended pairing with appetizers based on cured meats and aged cheeses, first courses based on meat, grilled meats, tagliatelle and game. Serving temperature: 16-18° C
