Hasselback potatoes (hasselbackpotatis) are a popular dish in Swedish cuisine and owe their name to the Stockholm restaurant Hasselbacken, which first invented this delicious "accordion" variant of classic baked potatoes. So if you're looking for an easy and tasty side dish with an international flavor, this recipe is for you.
Wash the potatoes under running water.
Take a wooden skewer and insert it into the potato a few millimeters from its base.
Cut the potatoes down to the skewer, creating thin slices, then wash them again to remove the starch and let them drain in a colander.
In the meantime, finely chop rosemary, thyme, oregano, and the garlic clove.
Salt and pepper the herbs to taste and mix them with the grated cheese in a bowl.
Preheat the oven to 200°C (or air fryer to 180°C for 30-35 minutes).
Meanwhile, melt the butter, drizzle the potatoes with the melted butter, and fill them with the herb and cheese filling.
Place the potatoes in a baking dish, drizzle them again with melted butter, and bake in a static oven at 200°C for about 75 minutes or until the potatoes are well cooked.
