Caprese is an iconic recipe of Italian cuisine, where a few quality ingredients make the difference. Ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil find their balance in a characterful extra virgin olive oil, capable of enhancing the sweetness of the tomato and the delicacy of the mozzarella. With Olio Limera, the Caprese becomes a simple dish but rich in Mediterranean aromas, perfect as an appetizer or light dish.

Wash the tomatoes, dry them and cut them into regular slices, not too thin, to maintain their juiciness.
Drain the mozzarella well and cut it into slices of the same thickness as the tomatoes.
Arrange the tomato and mozzarella alternately on a serving plate, creating a neat composition.
Add a few fresh basil leaves torn by hand.
Lightly salt, then finish with a generous drizzle of Olio Extravergine di Oliva Limera, poured raw just before serving.
