Hostage is the Bitter from the newborn ligurian brewery Exuvia. A classic interpretation of the traditional English style, where the malts pleasantly lean towards caramel and toasted. A light beer by definition, but with great character and balance with fruity and bitter notes in the right places. Even in the bottle, the carbonation manages to be shy, very British. A really well-made beer right from the first brew.
