The Jan De Lichte beer has a bright blonde color and a fine, moderately persistent foam. It is rich in citrus, spicy, and fruity aromas, which refresh and leave a pleasant clean sensation. The body is initially very slender, but without being evanescent; as the tasting progresses, the spicy notes of coriander, the sweetish notes of curaçao, and the refreshing notes of citrus emerge decisively, making it very drinkable. Even in the finish, the spicy imprint is very pronounced.
