Story of the territory and the winery The winery Le Macchiole, founded in 1983, chose the Bolgheri area for its vineyards, working with passion and innovation to best interpret the terroir of the Tuscan coast. Paleo Rosso is one of the symbol labels: originally born as a Bordeaux blend in 1989, since 2001 it has been produced in purity from Cabernet Franc. The Bolgheri area, with sea ventilation, gravelly soils and a unique microclimate, contributes to intense and long-lived wines.
