Raskatielli di Miskiglio are a typical product of Fardella (PZ), a town located 750 meters above sea level, immersed in the Pollino National Park (the largest national park in Italy). A dish with humble origins but rich from a health and nutritional point of view. The origins of this pasta are uncertain: according to some sources, it was created by the poorest families who, unable to rely on durum wheat flour, began mixing the little flour available with other types of flours. It is from this story that four small Lucanian municipalities (Fardella, Teana, Calvera, and Chiaromonte) decided to "mix" and give life to the Via del Miskiglio, a project also supported by the well-known Linea Verde host, Peppone Calabrese. The year 2024 marked the launch of the Festival del Miskiglio, which was very successful. From here comes the idea to start producing the product in its original form, strictly handmade, since the versions already on the market are made with industrial equipment and do not fully reflect the tradition. Traditional Agri-food Product The Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies has included Raskatielli di Fardella in the list of Traditional Agri-food Products (PAT) of the Basilicata Region.
Costs of £46.70, free from £290.00
