The Happy Rising white tea with flowers is hand-crafted in the Fujian province from high-quality Mao Feng white tea and Gonfrena flowers. As it gradually unfurls at the bottom of the teapot, this small tea sphere slowly opens, revealing the vibrant Gonfrena flower that floats in the water like magic. The taste is delicate and refreshing, fragrant and sweet. You can not only enjoy the subtlety of the flavor given by the tea and the flower but also appreciate the beauty of this unique artisanal product. The tea leaves that compose the Happy Rising blooming tea, in various shades of green and white-silver for the numerous buds covered in bai hao, close into a sphere around the Gonfrena flower, with its numerous small bright pink petals. Once infused in water, the flower and leaves open up, releasing a delicate and fresh vegetal aroma, sweet notes of honey, and slightly fruity notes with memories of wildflowers. The liquor in the cup presents a beautiful color between gold and pink, clear and with bright reflections. On the palate, the Happy Rising flower tea is gentle and balanced: it has sweet notes of honey and beeswax, followed by hints of yellow flowers and notes of unripened pear. There is even a very slight note of leather, almost reminiscent of an extremely delicate puer sheng. In the finish, there are very light vegetal notes of spring vegetables like fresh fava beans, notes that linger softly. The body is light and silky, without bitterness and with a barely perceptible astringency. The tea buds, expertly crafted and joined at the base to embrace the Gonfrena flower at the center, are made following the production process of white tea. The fresh Gonfrena flowers, after being harvested, are dehydrated (both naturally in the air and with special machines). The flower must be picked whole and at its best harvest time to benefit from the highest level of aroma. To enjoy all the beauty of the infusion and thus the opening of this flower tea, it is recommended to use a transparent glass cup (preferably a teapot). Rinse the cup with hot water. Use only one piece for each cup. Allow the tea leaves to steep in hot water at 80°C to 85°C for 1 minute for the first and second infusion. Gradually increase the time and temperature for subsequent infusions. It is recommended to store the Happy Rising flower tea in a cool, dry, and dark place.
