Preparation

  1. STEP 1 OF 6

    Work the sugar with 140 g of butter for a long time, remove 100 g and to the rest add, while still working well, a whole egg, the flour, a pinch of salt, the baking powder, and continue working by adding warm milk to obtain a soft dough.

    Spread the butter and sugar (previously set aside) in a cake pan and decorate with canned pineapple slices that have been previously drained and dried well.

  3. STEP 3 OF 6

    Place a candied cherry in the center of the slices, divide other slices into pieces to cover the gaps left between one and the other.

  4. STEP 4 OF 6

    Pour the dough over everything and bake at 180 degrees for about 60 minutes.

    Turn the cake pan onto a baking dish, let it cool slightly, remove the cake pan, and sprinkle the cake with sugar.

    Place it under the oven grill to form the caramel and soak before serving.
