Description
The winery, between Siena and Florence, produces genuine wines that tell the story of their territory. Between Siena and Florence, along the Via Cassia and not far from the old walls of Staggia Senese, lies the Montalpruno farm: a 19th-century Tuscan-style farmhouse, purchased and completely renovated in the 1980s by the Tosi family. Today, Montalpruno is both a farmhouse and a winery. Ten hectares are cultivated with vineyards, mainly with native varieties but also with small portions of international vines, which have found favorable soil and microclimate here. Let's talk about the internationals: the Secolare is a Merlot and Ciliegiolo, aged for 18 months in used barriques, while the latest addition to the family is a pure Cabernet Sauvignon, with notes of berries, licorice, full and structured, produced in only 1200 numbered bottles.
